Howdy Upcoming Christmas

You Life College people!

Merry Merry Christmas! =)

We hope that you would spend this upcoming Christmas with the widest smiles you had worn this year and savor each and every moment of them.

A tip to enjoying your Christmas to the max: Forget about but learn from the mistakes you've done this year and look forward. Step away from self-condemnation and towards self-encouragement. Mistakes will take on a brighter color if we learn from it instead of dwelling in our pasts and condeming ourselves for what we've done.

Life is more than yesterdays; life is what is to come. Let's enjoy. =)

It's A Beginning

A blast would be how I, personally, would describe the Year End Bash to be.

I am sure many of you who went would think so too.

After all, it was our first ever Life College event. Although it isn't as grand as many college's prom night... with grand lights and effects, awesome video and so forth... yet, it has to start somewhere, agreed?

This is just the beginning, friends, of improvement. We hope next year, there can be another function again - depending, of course, on the Student Council during that time. So, pray hard, if you want to have another event.

Also, we would LOVE to hear your personal comments - good or bad, whatever they be. Just be thoroughly honest; we love honesty.

We want to improve, for the students' sake. So, yes, do drop me (jonnychu89@gmail.com) or any council member an email, stating what you thought about the event and if possible, how we could improve or what we should look into in the future.

We thank you in advance for the comments you are to give. =)

It has been a privilege serving you people for year 2008. Help us to help you; drop a comment! =)

WHY SHOULD I GO?! to the Year End Bash

Reasons to why you should attend the Year End Bash

Here's some reasons why we think YOU should be at the Life College Year End Bash 2008, hosted at TGIF, Section 14:

#1 - Exams are over... and it's a great excuse to party, pig out, and go crazy with friends! With the whole 3rd floor of TGIF to ourselves, it's license to go WILD!

#2 - It's one of the most affordable events in town for the entertainment you get as well - most other college/university proms/dinner events will cost you no less than RM 100, but for RM 55, you get great food, great entertainment, and more lined up for you as well, such as:

- Our very own Life College Awards ceremony
- Performances by our own Life College musicians, including members of popular local band, Bus Company - Samuel Oh and Shaun Xavier
- The Hailer magazine Special Edition Issue 2009 OFFICIAL LAUNCH
- Top-secret MYSTERY performance
- Flashy video presentations
- Open floor
- and MORE!!!

#3 - Most of us will only be in college for 2-3 years. Time flies past, and so much can change in only a year. Make the most of the time you have, and cherish the memories you have with your friends, while you are still together!

#4 - Finally, we believe we should come because we put a LOT of EFFORT and WORK into this event not to make money for the Council or the College, but so that YOU can HAVE FUN. We want YOU to ENJOY yourself, and unless you do, our job is not done. :)

We sincerely hope that our reasons have convinced you (if only a teeny bit more) to come for our bash.

But don't forget to book those tickets because they are LIMITED, and after the 1st of Dec, the price will be raised to RM 60. Get your tickets now!

See you there!

YEAR END BASH: Book your tickets now to avoid disappointment!!!

Hey guys... We've only put up our Facebook event page yesterday and we already have almost 20 guests on the list.

Now, seating is VERY limited, and we only have about 60 seats available. If your name is on our FB event page, it does not mean your space is reserved.

To avoid disappointment, please call the ticketing department to book your ticket ASAP!

016-701 2635 (Liew En Ai)
016-862 4692 (Joshua Anthony)
016-904 0780 (Gerard)

Ticket price: RM 55

Just in case you're wondering:

What are you paying for?

The student council of Life College is hosting this event, but no money is being made from the sale of tickets. What you are paying for is mostly the food (TGIF's 3-course set meal), and basic overhead costs required for the night's entertainment.

What's RM 55 for a night of good food, good entertainment, friends, and lots of fun? :)

Hope to see you guys there! :)

College Camp - A ... what?

College camp is FINALLY over. For those who went, how was it?

Although you have voiced your thoughts and feedback about the camp in the camp itself, it wouldn't hurt to say it again, huh? So, what do you think about it?

And also, in future camps, what do you hope to see in college camps? Do you hope that it be similar - with lots of chilling time for sports and chit chats? Or... what?

Just drop by a message and we'll hear you out!

Go Fill Up!

Dear fellow college mates,

Yes, there has been quite a hiatus to this blog. But worry not. We hope to be able to update this blog as often as possible.

Do be alerted that there is a survey form in the college library for you to fill. It's basically a survey about the food/beverages and stationery sold in the library.

Well, yeah, that's the gist of it.

So, if you have not fill it up, quickly do so! =)

Hailer 3rd Edition Out

Blasting off - finally - with an official launch party, and after months of toiling and waiting, Life College and the Hailer team proudly presents its glorious 3rd issue.

It might be a simple magazine, but it is definitely one of sweat and blood. Surely many of the Hailer-hood would concur to this. In addition, it had also unified the entire group, urged them to betterment and pushed them beyond limits they could never - ever- imagined touching foot on.

Within, you can find articles written solely by students from Life College; and rest assure that Life College is churning passionate and challenge-taking writers.

So what are you waiting for? You need not be a writer to be a part of Hailer. You can also be a contributor (in terms of finance and others), a voice-box advertising vehicle, and a faithful reader.

Should you, however, desire to be a contributing writer of Hailer, kindly contact thehailer.newsletter@gmail.com

What do you do now? Grab a copy from the Library at Life College! =)

The Blog is Up!

Finally - yes, finally - after days (or was it weeks?) of discussion and planning and whatnot, the blog is up. Now, it may be rather simple, I think it's o-kay for the time being.

But anyway, here we will try (with our bestest best) to constantly keep you informed about the upcoming events in college. Here will also be a place where you get to voice out your opinions, vote in polls, and be a part in making events and Life College a success.

Now, now. Don't think that your say isn't important; every idea/suggestion/feedback we receive from you is valuable and much appreciated.

After all, we need your help to make events.. in fact, anything, a success! :)
